without the fog.

Plain-English definitions for the terms used throughout DomainWorth.

Acquisition ceiling

A modeled maximum purchase price intended to preserve a margin of safety relative to the domain’s modeled exits.

Brandable

A name valued primarily for memorability, sound, distinctiveness and naming potential rather than exact keyword meaning.

Buyer depth

The modeled breadth of plausible end users or investors for a name. It is not a count of verified willing buyers.

Comparable sale / comp

A completed domain sale used as evidence because the name is meaningfully similar in extension, class, length, terms or market context.

Exact-match domain

A domain that directly matches a product, service or search phrase, such as SolarPanels.com.

Geo-service domain

A location plus service or category, such as DenverRoofing.com, often suited to lead generation or local operators.

Investor / wholesale value

A range another domain investor might rationally pay while preserving room for resale.

Liquidity

How readily a domain might attract investor demand at a discount to end-user retail value. It is not a promised time-to-sale.

Make-offer floor

A pricing threshold below which the seller should reassess the reason to sell, based on the model and selling posture.

Naming power

How effectively the domain functions as a strong, memorable name independent of pure search keyword metrics.

Retail value

A modeled range for a relevant operating end user under ordinary patient-sale conditions.

Strategic buyer

An unusually strong-fit buyer for whom the domain has value beyond ordinary market comparables.

TLD

Top-level domain: the extension such as .com, .co, .ai or .org.
